I want to get rid of my acne before school starts. I have combination skin and I break out a lot during my period, even though I still get acne all the time. I want an acne cleanser or treatment that I can get somewhere like Walmart or Target, but I will be willing to splurge for something like Clinique if I know it is going to work. I am tired to go to the dermatologist , I tried several acne creams but none work. I am 23 and I really need to find a treatment that help me remove my acne scars. I have severe acne scars and would like to know what is the best acne scar treatment to remove scars?
I heard about acne blue light therapy. Does it really work? I was advised to remove my scars using Laser resurfacing but it is too expensive for me.

Well if Laser is too expensive then I will definitely try the blue light treatment. Some personal devices now can be purchased so no more need to go to the dermatologist. Don’t use Zeno as it is more prescribed for mild acne.

I have tried several face washes including proactive, clean and clear advantage as well as several one step acne fighting face washes. As of right now I am using clearasil ultra twice a day and it doesn’t seem to give me dramatic results as I am still getting small bumps (which are visible in natural light). I also have small red spot from earlier acne. Does anyone know of any acne fighting treatments that will clear these small bumps/red marks?

STOP popping the spots, also known as pimples and zits. This may make the pimple look worse due to inflammation and irritation. Popping a zit can spread infection under the skin and produce even more pimples than before. If you do pop a spot then immediately clean it with soap and water or rubbing alcohol in order to prevent infection. If a pimple erupts in a particularly bothersome place, learn how to target a single pimple. And if you’re determined to pop, learn how to pop a pimple safely and properly. If you do pop a pimple and you want to avoid anything resembling Western medicine, one thing to try is put a mixture of honey and ground cinnamon on the spot. Put a band-aid on it also. You may also want to stay away from stress.

Remove any make-up you have on. Wearing make-up can clog pores, making them dirty and causing pimples. Also try to wear oil-free makeup (if you have oily skin) or a medicated makeup.

Pat dry, rather than rubbing, since rubbing can cause irritation to the fresh skin you’ve just revealed.

Use a good toner. Spray onto face or wipe on with a cotton ball and wipe off with a clean, dry cotton ball. This gets rid of excess cleanser and tightens pores. Good, inexpensive choices include plain witch hazel for normal to dry skin, lemon juice, or 3% hydrogen peroxide for oily skin. 70% ethyl rubbing alcohol can also be used for severe oiliness, but it can really dry out your skin and irritate it more. Some toners are medicated, and this stage is the best for using a medicated product if you’re only going to use one medication.

I am currently on prescription ziana acne medication but it doesn’t seem to do anything. I’ve been on many different acne meds like epiduo but nothing seems to work. I have heard good reviews about the exposed acne treatment. Is exposed acne treatment better than prescription acne treatment?

yea definitely. i only use my acne system at night because it makes my skin oily, so in the mornings i wash with cetaphil and theres no problems. it gets rid of oil too.

I’m tired of buying store bought face washes. They don’t do you any good and you’re pretty much putting chemicals on your skin and damaging it. My skin can get very oily it has a few black heads on nose and it has a bit of acne. For whatever the reason I always seem to get white heads to even though i do exfoliate and i also have a little acne with scars. What are your favorite remedies to clear blemishes and other acne. thanks.

Fake tan, believe it or not seemed to clear up my acne every now and then (when i applied it) - loreal sublime bronze gel, the only brand i use of that now. i was once on roaccutane which is amazing and clears it all up - look into that too (hospital prescription only)

as for steaming your face, afterwards rinse with cold water to close pores to stop dirt getting back in.

How is panoxyl acne treatment?

I have tried basically everything there is for acne. How is this product? Do you have to get it over the counter? I heard somebody say it bleaches clothing. Does just the acne treatment do that, or does the soap bleach as well? Does it work for back acne? And do you have to get this product over the counter? (The only place on my face that is somewhat sensitve is my chin, so sensitivity isn’t really an issue.)

Panoxyl works well and quiet fast because it releases oxygen to the skin but because of benzoyl peroxide (an active ingredient proven to be effective towards acne) causes mild to severe dryness and irritation. I used 5% and still caused my skin to dry severely. I recommend you use this only twice a day and purchase an acne cream that you can apply directly to the acne, and use a moisturizer that are non-comedo and oil-free. I recommend a green tea moisturizer or something that contains aloe vera, it soothes the skin.

Benzoyl peroxide is the ingredient that causes bleaching.

I have a few pimples here and there. I use Neutrogena oil- free acne stress control. It was working wonderfully. Then, I had my period, and I got some break outs. My period stopped, and there is still break outs. Is this normal? Should I stick with this treatment. I have kind-of fair skin.
