I am looking for an over the counter acne product that will work to an effect that will peel away a thin top layer of skin, something of the sort of chemical peel or Microdermabrasion, if not what product is recommended that will peel away dead skin on face and body.

trust me over the counter treatments for acne dont work as there not strong enuff and often irrate the skin and make it worse! clearasil, visibly clear, oxy you name it i tried it and wasted a lot of money. Then i finally went to the doctors and he prescribed me sum zineryt and within a few weeks my skin completey cleared up so dont waste ur time and money just get to the doctors.

my borther is 15 and he wants an acne treatment. what acne treatment is the best for guys? and i mean one that isnt expenciveand not the Proactive.

First of all it depends on how severe the acne is. Over-the-counter treatment may not work for your brother. If you are looking for a cheap fix, make sure he washes his face in the morning and before he goes to bed with warm water and a facial cleanser. There are a lot of facial cleansers out there, but if he wants one that will treat acne, it should contain benzoyl peroxide or salyclic acid. You mentioned ProActiv in your question, so he may want to try the off brand which is called AcneFree. This product usually costs around $20 and is a lot like the ProActiv system in that it uses a face wash, astringent/toner, and moisturizer. This product will usually work for most people if you use it correctly. If he feels that his acne is still not going away after using the product for a few months, then he should get an appointment with a dermatologist so they can prescribe him some more serious acne treatment.
Instead of Accutane which is the "last resort" treatment for acne and is usually used for only the most severe cases of acne, he may want to look into Minocyclin and Retin-A. Both of those are only available by prescription.

i don’t have really bad acne but i do have a little bit. i want my skin to be soft, smooth, and acne-free. what’s the best store-bought acne face wash to buy?

Try Neutrogena (as won’t strip out too much oil)
Any natural product with honey may help too (as natural antiseptic)
Also you could try a supplement that has Vitamin A with Zinc. That promotes healthy skin (can prevent acne scars too)

What is the best acne treatment for woman?
After my 3rd child, being in my late 20s I’m having a major acne problem, never had this before, and I’ve tried pro-active, doesn’t work just made it worse, dr wexler acne treatments were ok, not too happy with it, now I’m taking care of my face with the Aveeno treatments and it’s getting worse!!
