What is the difference between acne and acne scars?

I currently have large zits on my face that just won’t go away! I’ve had them for about a month and a half now and I have never gotten so much acne and acne that has lasted for so long in my entire life! So I was beginning to wonder if they are scars. If anyone could please help me out, I’d really appreciate it.

Acne are the pustules,papules,whiteheads,and/or blackheads that are on your face or back. Some of them contain pus while others don’t.Acne scars are the indentation or actual scars that the acne leaves behind when the pus is out.The acne causes damage to the surface of the skin which results in scars.

What is the best over the counter acne treatment?

I need an acne treatment that I can get at walmart or a drug store. I don’t need a facewash. Just "spot treatment" for acne that I can put right on the pimple. What have you used? What works best? Any skincare tips?

Have you looked into Proactive for your spot treatment?

I’ve been using Proactive for a while now and it works really great. It works very fast, within a day or so. I haven’t had a breakout in a while. I’ve tried all sorts of different acne medication and pills and none of those worked for me. Now I just need to figure out how to gert rid of all these scars :(

If you’re thinking about giving it a try, you might still be able to find a free sample of Proactive through this site http://www.freesamplesfromheaven.com/proactive-solution-free-sample

Good luck, I hope that helps :)

What food allergies most commonly cause acne?

I’ve been suffering from acne for 14 years now. I think that a food or preservative/and or additive may be to blame but can’t seem to identify what exactly is triggering it.

Generally there isn’t one specific magic item that is causing your acne and in general, the entire western diet contributes to acne. When I’m helping people get clear, I’ll usually tell them to avoid processed items, white flour products, excessive sugar, red meat, fried foods and dairy.

Now don’t take this that you have to give them up forever. I certainly haven’t and I’m still clear today. But by avoiding these items for a few weeks and eating only whole, natural and healthy foods, you give your body a chance to deal with the junk floating around your body. Just think about it like this:
Imagine you keep taking your trash out week after week, but the garbage men never make it to your street because there’s always tons of trash in the rest of the city. You’d have a pretty big and smelly pile of trash after only a few weeks. But then imagine the city passed a law that both reduced the amount of trash everyone threw out and they also hired more trash men. You wouldn’t have to worry about your trash problems anymore.

In the same way, by avoiding these foods, you give your body a chance to catch up and deal with all the trash in its body. There’s no one specific food that if you avoid, will stop your acne. It doesn’t work like that. Acne is a problem that come’s about for several reasons that include your digestive organs, stress levels, the food you eat, your circulation and tons of others. Your body is a whole, it’s not separate parts of a machine.

But by avoiding the above foods for a few weeks and eating healthy, you give your body a chance to raise its health levels and take care of business

What is the best way to get rid of acne scars?

I am in my late 20’s now, and had acne when I was a teenager. The acne is gone, but I still have light scars on my face. I think I would look so much better without them. What is the best way to get rid of them?

There are different types of acne scars, the red marks that are left behind or the impressed scars such as the holes or pit marks. The red marks can go away fairly easily with a few laser treatments (look up Intense Pulsed Light or Photo Rejuvenation). Find a dermatologist who does this or go they do this at laser hair removal centers also.

For other acne scars like holes or icepicks, I had skin from my earlobe used to fill the scars. Had this done by my dermatologist about 8 years ago along with the laser treatments (the laser required no downtime) and my skin looks beautiful I wondered why I waited so long to do this. The earlobe filler was considered a minor in office surgical so you would want to find a dermatological surgeon. Not all dermatologists are surgeons, so be sure to find one who is both.

Hope this helps

Is it kind of rude to get someone acne treatment for their birthday?

It’s my best friend. It’s not just any acne treatment either it’s the range from the Body Shop! The tea tree oil range…
I know she’s trying to get rid of some spots but I’m not sure whether I should get her the stuff cus it might upset her?
How about a gift card to a really nice jewelry store, then?
I tried choosing her earrings but we like really different things so it’s hard for me. I’m worried this might look a bit impersonal though. But I thought we could go and choose it together?

I think it might upset her. I would feel pretty self conscious if someone got that for me? Best to get her something else I think.

How do I get rid of clogged pores and acne?

I have acne all over my forehead and chin. I also have pimples around my nose and a lot of large, clogged pores. I’ve tried so many types of acne scrubs and medications that I can’t even count and having bad skin really makes me feel ugly. Pleaseeeee give me some tips on how to get rid of acne.

Before you go to bed, remove all your make up with makeup remover. Make sure that the make up remover says, doesnt clog pores, cause that would make it worse. Wash your face in the morning and before bed. (:

This is a really good answer, also do these(:
1. Drink PLENTY of water daily.
2. Make sure you get atleast 8 hours of sleep.
3. Stop using all those stupid scrubs and stuff.
4. Improve your diet: More fruit and vegetables.
5. Once/Twice a week steam your face. It gets rid of all of my spots and right now my skin feels amazing! Take a bowl of boiling water and put your face over it to allow the steam to cleanse your skin, wrap a towel around the bowl to prevent steam from escaping. Be careful though, stay a safe distance away from the bowl. Or the easier/safer option would be to buy a steamer.

Your skin will be healthy and youthful in no time. (:

but just watch the make up remover stuff you use.

What is the best product to fade post-acne marks on a guy with pale skin?

I don’t really know much about the options but I used to have mild acne flare-ups and, since I have pale skin, the marks don’t seem to go away or some just take a long time to fade. I’m a guy so it’s not really a huge concern to me… but I think it wouldn’t hurt to use a product to get rid of the big red post-acne marks. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Try this stuff. It works EXTREMELY well.
It’s called Epidu.
