My skin tone is not pale but not dark and I have a tan from the summer right now. I take a shower every day and wash my face reguarly and use Noxema but I still can't stop the weird discolerations and acne even when I use concealer and these acne products. Any suggestions?
I also have strange bumbs on my arms and legs and I don't know how to get rid of them but I am going to a dermatologist soon. I do use Clearisil too.
My acne isn't that bad and it is not red its just strange bumbs here and there.
I don't wear make-up
try this routine it helped me a lot!!!
morning- Wash face with only non perfume soap and water
apply diluted tea tree oil with a cotton wool bud to the affected areas leave on to dry.
dont wear make up
night- wash face with water and non perfume soap
apply sudo cream onto spots leave on over night
once a week use a deep pour clensing face mask!!
eat 5 pieces of fruit a day
drink pleantly of water
your skin will be clear in no time!
keep it up even when spots have gone
DONT USE CLEARISIL IT STRIPS SKIN OF NATURAL OIL THAT IT NEEDS use only natural products

my acne has gotten really bad, and i was wondering if anyone could recommend a really good over the counter acne treatment? does proactive really work? or should i try something else. thanks in advance for any suggestions!
It really just depends on your skin type. When i was a little younger i had horrible skin problems. I found that ProActive did work, but you have to follow the directions and clean your face TWICE a day. If you have oily skin they have a product that i just ordered to se if it helps out with that.
I found that ProActive works for the most part. Just consider that it wont work for everyone, no ones skin is the same.

please list all the best things you've used or things you've done to get rid of acne. also say what foods you had to stay away from. please dont list any doctor prescribed medicine because my acne isnt bad, its only a little bit of acne but i want to get rid of it fast. please list the name brands of the items and if you have any household remedies for acne it would be great if you could list those too. OH yeah and i have blackheads too so any tips on how to get rid of those would be helpful. thanks! by the way the reason im listing this in womens health is because, well, this is a problem that all women come across and i guess its kind of a health problem…thankss!
most of the acne is on my forehead by the way and the blackheads are on my nose. its weird though cause the acne is not red or irritated bumps they're like…regular skin tone color and they're only noticable if i turn my head a certain way and the light catches them in a certain way. yeah. lol sorry i thought maybe that would be useful info…
sorry about the gramatical error in the title of this topic lol..didnt realize
I have had acne most of my life, and I am 40 now.
I have tried medicine to kill hair follicle mites, to kill fungus….sulfa drugs (topical and pill), antibiotics, creams lotions….everything.
I was given t-sal shampoo by a new dermatologist who believed the acne on my scalp was seborrhea. I used it on my face, and lo and behold….it worked. My skin has been beautiful.
It removes the upper layer of skin, so the contents of your pores don't get stuck in there. If only I had known how easy it is. You can get t-sal in the pharmacy. It is made by neutrogena…you just put it on your skin (not in your eyes) for a few minutes, then wash it off, and use a mild face lotion afterwards.

please help me, i have a lot of acne and its all on my forehead (whiteheads). i’d look terrible with bangs, so please dont suggest that. what is the best acne treatment that you have ever used? like i mean, awesome and noticable results. I realy want to get rid of the acne and it would really help me, thanks.
Hiya. I’ve used a ton of different acne products and the products I’ve found that work really well include: St.Ives- face wash/scrub and the Neutrogena 3 in 1 Kit. However, For the past 2 months I’ve been using Proactiv Solution. At first I thought Proactiv was just a bunch of hype but now I see that it really work. So I would recommend ordering Proactiv Solution– you can try the 1 month kit for 20 dollars. It is expensive but I think it’s worth it. If not, stick to the Neutrogena 3 in 1 kit which does work very well.
Aside from the acne treatments, you need to monitor your eating/sleeping habits. Make sure you try to stay away from greasy foods and try to drink lots of water. Stay stress free and get enough rest! Good Luck!

My doctor said that a lot of acne medications break you out badly at the beginning and can take 6-8 weeks to see results. Why?
It's like a facial. All the impurities have to come out first till it's cleaned out (the impurities being the pimples). Then great skin. Also skin can get irritated by what is being used on it and needs to get use to the medication.

it has to be tinted and in cream, not gel. It can't be clear or invisible. It has to be tinted. I used to get clearasil maximum strength acne treatment cream in tint from the USA, but it got to be costly to order. I would like to get some somewhere in Leicester or Loughborough. It doesn't have to be brand clearasil. What shops do have these kinds of treatment? Thanks!
I don't think there is one available. Why not use an acne cream and the use a tinted moisturiser after?

Can you give me some tips on getting rid of acne. Like i heard about putting toothpaste on acne, but does it really work. Please give me some homemade tips or ideas or anything you do to get rid of acne. Thanks!
Cetaphil is a product that is available in most grocery stores. I apply it to my face and let it dry and it works deep down to prevent and/or stop zits from surfacing.
I would also recommend that you review your diet and see if you are eating too much grease, salt, chocolate, or anything else that may irritate your skin.
Also, be sure you aren't washing your face too much, which will dry it out and irritate acne. On another note, if you moisturize too much it will have the same effect.
Good luck!

i want a daily facewash or acne treatment that i can buy at a local drugstore. does anyone know the best brand?
I use benzoyl peroxide — it's usually right around the face washes, and stuff — but, it's more of a cream that you can put on before you go to bed — it works REALLY well (so well, in fact, that it's part of a prescription medication used to treat acne).

I've had bad acne all over my cheeks and chin since 8th grade (I'm 16 now). I've tried a lot of stuff, Clearasil (not sure how to spell that), Proactiv, Benzol Peroxide and lots of other face washes but nothing seems to work. I even went to the doctor and got birth control pills because they r supposed to help your skin but those didn't work either. It's really embarrassing and horrible and if anybody has any suggestions, please help. Can anyone suggest good acne creams, washes, etc?
