I have acne prone skin and am looking for the quickest way to rid my skin of the acne marks. I use Neutrogena but that doesn’t seem to help much except for the acne. Any suggestions, serious answers please. Thanks to those who help.

The thing that works best for me is just a Clean and Clear scrub.

Though, cleaners never solved the entire problem for me.
If I were you, I would change your diet a little. You don’t have to make a drastic change, but start eating a little healthier.

Drink LOTS of water.

Also, buy a liquid bottle of Omega 3.6.9 and take the amount it tells you to take on the bottle.

Try to exercise if you don’t already.

I did all this and my face improved dramatically. Plus, I feel a lot healthier and am in a lot better shape.

have had acne for years. My face is oily, and not only do I have acne on my face but on my lower back, shoulders, and butt too. What is the best acne cleanser for my face and body that isn’t too expensive?

Please don’t tell me about pills or give me links to other sites. I just want answers about acne treatments you have used.

The first thing to do when treating acne is to have a plan, the one I would suggest is a 5 point plan as follows:

1. Cleanse your skin at least 3 times a day as follows: use soap and water but make sure the soap is very gentle and does not contain detergents or mineral oil. You can find one at various Natural or Organic skin stores. Blot your face dry with a towel don't rub it.

2.Exfoliate your skin using a facial polish - this helps to normalize oil production and improves the skin surface. Do this twice a week

3. Use a skin toner - this helps to remove and prevent blackheads by removing soap residues, impurities and make up residues, it also helps to restore the correct Ph value. You can use a spritzer or cotton wool buds to apply it.

4. Use a day and night acne cream which kills and prevents bacteria and at the same time moisturizes your skin.

5. Finally - Make-Up - try not to use make-up in the period when you are treating your skin. I know this will be difficult but it will pay off. If you must use make-up - use a make-up without mineral oil - use instead a dry mineral, natural ingredient based make-up.

i've been using some acne treatment (though my skin isnt that bad) and now my skin is breaking out wayyyy more than it ever has! Is this supposed to happen?

i think that's pretty common. i have very moderate breakouts, but every time i use a new gel/lotion from the dermatologist my skin gets way worse! but it starts to clean up after a short time so i wouldn't worry about it if i were you. just stick to the regimen and your skin should clear up pretty quickly. good luck!

I need some ideas for a good spot acne treatment. I don't have bad acne, just the occasional breakout. Something I could put on right before bed and remove in the morning would be great. I have pretty sensitive skin tho, so anything with alcohol might damage my skin.

I use equal parts every thing accept a little less hydrogen peroxide and menthol alcohol for cuts and such. I get witch hazel, rose water, tea tree oil, menthol alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, and 10-15 crushed aspirin's. I mix this all up and use it as a toner/ acne treatment. Remember I don't put too much alcohol or peroxide a lot less then the other ingredients. It seems to be working wonder's but do you feel this is harmful in any way's?

I have had so many pimples on my face and have been popping them. And just recently I learned that popping your pimples causes scars on your face. and now i have so many scars on my face that i fell like i look ugly. I've tried proacti,clean and clear, and prescription meds but all of it doesnt work. I really want to cure my acne so people dont make fun of me.Does toothpaste or any home remedies help?

I'm trying to find some good acne treatment for men, but the only one I found is Clearasil for Men Energizing Acne Scrub for Acne-Prone Skin. If there's a better one, I need to know. The sooner the better.

Try Proactive if that one doesn't work and it makes your acne worse there are other brands like clearisil, clean and clear & Nutergina
